Help "Raise the Age" in Missouri!

Missouri is one of the five remaining states that has not “Raised the Age” of adult court jurisdiction to 18. Currently, all 17-year-olds in the Show Me State are tried as adults, regardless of the offense. Legislation moving in both chambers, HB 1255 and SB 793, will keep 17-year-olds in the juvenile system, where they will face more accountability for their actions and be given more support for their rehabilitation.

On March 8, SB 793 PASSED in the Missouri Senate. HB 1255 PASSED in the House Judiciary Committee on March 1.
